Danny,
I would appreciate a quote so much! Here is a list of the items that Ford says needs to be done and in order of importance:
1. 30K mile service - this is a service they say needs to be done every 30K miles and includes the flushing of all lines and fluids and refilling with all new fluids (transmission, etc).
2. Rear Emergency Brake, 1 axle seal, silicon, fluid and friction modifier - these are all related to my emergency brake that does not work at all. They say it doesn't work because my axle seal is worn and the fluid leaks. This was a really large ticket item!
3. Differential service - ??
4. Lower ball joints - they claim these are shot and effect the "ride" of my vehicle and need to be replaced.
I did have Ford replace my front brakes and I bought a new battery at Sears as my car was dying about every other day and I was having to carry around a battery starter so I wouldn't get stuck somewhere with my 3 year old and 6 month old.
I would appreciate anything you've got to share about a quote and the work that needs to be done and maybe you could also tell me how much time it would take.
