I was dropping my daughter and son off at daycare a few weeks ago and I had talked with one of the volunteers and posed a question.

Why doesn't BRCC start a daycare program?

BRCC already has the facility that is sponsored by the tithes of our church members, so there is not overhead for a location to keep the children.

The facilities are already in tact, along with toys, small kitchen, administration offices, and it appears to provide sufficient space for at least 100 children. (I dont know how many for sure, but it certainly could be more)

Understandably, we would need cargiving professionals and staff - if we were to start a pilot program to test this out and hire just a few to start with, we may be able to recruit church member with the skills and qualifications to help spearhead this program.

Imagine the revenue we could have and also the care that we would be able to comfortably afford our children.

Electricity and utilities are already being used for the building, but the revenue would easily cover than and provide a substantial amount of funds for other church needs.

I for one would pay more for my child to be cared for by my church than by the other daycares in the area -- and there are some good ones!

Knowing that the church that nurtures our souls is also nurturing our childrens minds AND souls in our absence.
