This is my first time reading John and have learned a lot so far. I will share with you one of my favorite parts in the first Chapter. John 1:49-51 Jesus asked Nathanael,"Do you believe this just because I told you I had seen you under the fig tree? You will see greater things than this. I tell you the truth, you will all see heaven open and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man!"
I read and re-read this verse over and over because I thought "Wow! I too cannot wait to see heaven open up! I want to see God's angels going up and down on the Son of Man!" So I imagine Jesus looking down at me...while I'm saying yes, I believe in you! And he says, "You believe just because you have seen me work wonders? or because you have read my words? I tell you the truth, you will see greater things than this!" Amen!
