I am asking for prayer....my family & I just moved to Tx from Md 6 months ago - a big jump, but one we felt God was guiding us to make. We have found a home in BRCC, but have yet to make personal connections. The minute we walked into the service, we felt that "this is where we belong" feeling, a sense of peace. We know that strong relationships are just a matter of time. Without knowing anyone to turn to (besides Christ), this morning was extremely difficult. About 1 hour ago, my husband had a seizure. We don't have insurance, so I called my friends back home for prayer rather than call an ambulance. This is the 4th one he's had over about a 9 year span, so I knew how to handle things. My friend encouraged me to call an ambulance and I agreed. My husband will be fine - he didn't go to the hospital, because the EMS worker said if it's happened before, and he's safe, a hospital visit isn't necessary. Besides, the cost would be outrageous. All this "background" is to get to my prayer requests. First, that provisions will be made for the cost of the EMS workers coming to our home. And second, that strong, loving relationships would be formed in our immediate area. The hardest thing with this seizure, was the thought of "I don't know anyone here". I did feel Christ's closeness which brought me peace, but having a friend's arms around you during this time means so much. The last time this happened, my two best friends were at our house before the ambulance arrived. Those are the relationships I long for!!
