Hey, night owls!

Pray for Steve Stricklin, having open lung biopsy at Wilford Hall at 7 am Tuesday morning! And pray for Ginny who will be waiting there.

Can you give out an update on Steve? He has many friends who would like to know how he is doing.

The latest from Ginny:

PRAISE GOD...they were able to extubate Steve today - no more breathing tube... When I go there this afternoon he was talking like there was no tomorrow. I actually had to make him be quiet, guess when you have not been able to talk for 10 days...oh well.

Steve is still on oxygen but is using a nasal canyon. He is not totally out of the woods. He told his doctor he would be home by this weekend, doc said as stubborn as he is; he would not be surprised.

Update on Steve. Today, (Wednesday), March 21 he was sitting up in a chair for 4 hours. He is slowly getting better - he is still in ICU. We hope to get him moved to a ward by Friday. He is in great spirits.

PRAISE GOD
Steve was moved to the "Step-Down" unit last night. (Progressive Care ICU). They wanted to move him to the ward - but there was no room at the inn...oh, that would be no bed space on the ward. We are hoping he will be moved to the ward TODAY. Doctors said, 3 things are keeping him there... a) Oxygen level required (it is coming down), b) chest tube is still in (hope to get it removed today) c) still wobbly on his legs (which is to be expected).

Steve was moved to the ward on Friday evening. He is still pretty weak, they still have the chest tube in and he is still on oxygen 24-7.
Pray that we can remove the chest tube soon...

Just wanted to let you know Steve got home from the hospital on Wednesday night. You can reach him via email. (sstricklin1@satx.rr.com)
Thanks for all the prayers - he still has a long recovery but happy to be home and slightly mobile.

For those of you who have been checking for updates... Steve came to church last weekend without oxygen! The doctor said he doesn't need it at this point. Praise God! Continue to lift Steve and Ginny up for his continued recovery.

Thanks to all of you who have prayed for myself and Ginny through all of our trials with this pneumonia. I have been home for a couple weeks and continue to get better each day. My strength is returning slowly. It is great getting back to church services and seeing all of you again. Please keep us in prayer as I will keep all of you in prayer. Thank our Father for His loving hand in all of this... Steve Stricklin
