Last night I got a frantic call from my mom, Karyn, about her best friend and roommate, P.J. (Pamela). P.J. is a lung/throat cancer survivor but has recently just given up the will to live...failure to thrive. And she feels that her cancer has returned with a vengeance Last night, P.J. was in respiratory distress and ended up being transported to the E.R. in critical but stable condition. Turns out her right lung was filled completely with the left barely pushing any oxygen. Needless to say, she's been a lifelong smoker and just recently quit in December during an almost identical episode to this. Well, this has stressed my mom out to no end. My mom tends to wear her heart and emotions on her sleeves and it's beginning to show on her as well. Please pray for peace for my mom about the present and her future, and pray for P.J.--(I have gut feeling the prognosis isn't good for P.J. right now due to her being stubborn and not wanting to get checked out sooner) Thanks! Ray

Ray this is Susan. I am PJ and Karyn's next door neighbor. PJ and i were friends for many yrs. With a long and unusual history. I am grateful that she went to the Vitas Hospice in patient unit. She was kept very comfortable and for that I am thankful. I also thank those of you who were praying for her. God did hear your prayers and as always he answered them faithfully.

WOW! Thanks, Susan! Mom mentioned that you attend BRCC, but I didn't put two and two together until now. Thanks again. Need some very powerful prayers for my mom. She really doesn't know what she's going to do with the rest of everything.
