Dear Pastor(s),
I met this young man who seems to be a very nice person, but does not believe in God. He said he has never read the Bible before and has never prayed. He has visited the satanic church before, however he no longer goes. Is there a way for my friend, my fiancee and I to bring him closer to God without seeming too pushy? The last thing I want to do is scare him away completely. I offered to give him a Bible if he would like to read it, but he didn't answer me either way. Do you have any advice for us to help him or others like him? Thank you for your help.

If your friend has visited the church of satan, then he has opened himself to demonic influences. Even if he has avoided it since that time, he no doubt has unwelcome guests in his "house" who will not want him coming to the truth. Pray a hedge of protection around him and around yourselves consistently. Remember, the blood of Jesus cleanses you and protects you. "Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world."

You can win your friend's trust by "being-the-church" to him. Show him how Jesus has changed your life. He cannot argue with the authenticity of your changed life. That may be the only "Bible" he will read at first. Be open and honest with him as he asks questions. Jesus promised the Holy Spirit would give you the answers you need. Be in strong agreement with your other friends, and team up to pray for this young man often.
