I'm in high school and I've been dating this guy for about 4 months. He says he's a believer and he tends to live his life that way most of the time. But some of his beliefs are contradictory to God's. He isn't exactly a bad influence but I fear he may become one. The thing is, if he tells me he's a christian and he lives his life that way I don't think its right to judge his relationship with God. Only God knows what's really going on. So should I keep dating him?

I don't know if you should keep dating this guy but one thing you should know is that God expects believers to keep each other sharp, as Iron Sharpens Iron. When a believer is observed living outside God's design for our lives we are to confront them and bring them back into the fellowship. It sounds like, based on your description, that you are not sure this young man is saved. If you don't know then ask. If that upsets him then you probably have your answer. If he is not a believer then do not be "unequally yoked."
