Hello,

My name is James. I recently lost my girlfriend due to trust issues in the relationship. When I started to have a feeling of mistrust I would begin to drink at home, something I'd never done in my past marriage. Anytime I was not with her I would have a feeling of mistrust and therefore my mind would start to think of the possibility that she may be with another.

On Oct 3, I did an unspeakable thing and the police had to be called because of my stupidity and jealousy. I was arrested and taken away. Since, I have reopened my bible and started reading again as well as started asking myself why. Why I would let myself not trust her.

I really need someone to talk to about this.

James

I would suggest you look into the Tuesday night groups for recovery. It's not just for addicts, it's for getting through some pretty tough spots with other people who want to talk and heal and grow too. My husband benefits from going to this group and it has helped him and many other men talk about these kinds of issues.

I pray you find peace within yourself, and I know you are not alone.

First of all, I want to let you know that the recovery program is moving next week to Friday nights starting at 7. There will be worship and teaching in a large group, then we will break up into small groups (men and women are separated, if that is a concern of yours), and then there will be a thing called Solid Rock Cafe where people can chat and get to know one another better over coffee (and I think they said dessert!). Ive been going on Tuesday nights, and even in a few months, I can tell you it is AWESOME how God works. So come join the rest of us who have issues we want God to help us recover from.

Alternately, if you are unsure of the recovery program or if you want to talk with a pastor one on one, I would suggest calling the office. I think they have a pastor every day who is there just for people who need to talk. And if Im wrong about that, I am still SURE that they would love to drop what they are doing to talk with you and help you.

I will be praying for you that God would help you find the right person or group of people to help you. Remember, He always loves us, no matter what we do. Cling to that love and forgiveness as you go through this time.

Celebrate Recovery is an excellent place for you to deal with the struggles you are going through. They will begin meeting on Friday nights November 2nd.
