My mother was filling out an application to teach at a Christian school, and was asked if she was a member of the Government of Twelve and if yes, what tribe? This is the first we have heard of this, wondering what it is. A cursory look online gave us some answers, but wondering if any pastors at BRCC could shed some light.

Government of Twelve is an emphasis that is in use by Cornerstone Church here in SA. It was implemented as a church growth strategy by a South American evangelist named César Castellanos who is also a politician. It is based on the premise that Jesus' use of 12 disciples constituted a pattern for church evangelism and growth. The following website describes its principles: http://solidrockg12.org/g12.html Another of our pastors is more familiar, and I will ask him to respond also.
