I read or heard on Christian radio that Yoga is a series of positions that worship Muslim religion. Is that true and is doing Yoga going against Christianity? Is it ok to do Yoga if I'm a Christian?

Yoga can be spiritually dangerous because of its roots in Eastern religion (Hindu). It is possible to remove all the meditation/spiritual elements and use it as exercise only, but my question is, why would you want or need to? I prefer to stay away from practices that were originated in false religions.
