What kind of answer should I give to someone who asks, "If Jesus was married, can He still be the Messiah?" Follow up question: Would it be a mistake to not dispute the idea of Jesus being married? How would I defend against this secular way of thinking?

Personally, I would not get into that discussion. There is no respectable evidence that Jesus was married. It would be a far better use of time to discuss the evidence for his resurrection. There are many good resources - 'Who Moved the Stone?' by Frank Morrison, 'Evidence that Demands a Verdict' by Josh McDowell and the 2 or 3 'The Case for...' books by Lee Strobel.
