i hav not been going to the church for long but i have herd it said to sit with someone at work for lunch that would be alone if you did not. i'm wondering why so many people at the church sit alone if this is a good practice to follow. good for work not church? just wonderin. my cousin has gone longer and he said it is always like that. don't matter the service time there are people alone.

I guess it depends whether people are sitting alone by choice or simply because they don't know someone. There are ways people can get connected. They can come to Direct Connect after one of the Sunday services or stop by the Connections Booth in the foyer. We can help someone find a small group. Sometimes people who are newcomers want to sit alone because they want to be able to check out the church from a safe distance.

I am one of the ones you have seen sitting alone. Its not that i dont know anyone, i just feel like i connect better with The Lord when i sit alone. Especially since there are things in my life that need the guidance of The Lord. Maybe thats an issue of space for me, but for now thats how i feel. If your looking for a way to connect start looking for a small group to join, when you are ready. In Christ

the idea of joinin a group sounds good except i dont have the time for it. im a full time student with a job, making the time to go back to church was a big enough challenge.

yblue and whatareusayin, let me apologize for being ignored and feeling almost out of place. Unfortunately there are people like that in church. To look on the brighter side of things God will deal with those people who do that. So let The Lord handle them. I also know what it is like not to have any time to join a small group, it took me a few years to finally join a small group. My only regret is that i didnt join one sooner. But this is all in Gods time'n. I would like to invite you to join Celebrate Recovery on Tuesday nights @ 7 p.m. in the Hub. Come to meet new people and if your ready you can talk about your "habits, hurts, and hangups". Once again i apologize for the way you have been treated and may God Bless you and your family. In Christ
