Hello.
I would like to suggest to the staff to add a Professional Connections
forum which would be for independent contractors and the like to post
their services and info that others could search when in need of
something.
For example, I am an independent IT contractor who offers all
computer-related support services from home PCs to enterprise networks.
Full details can be found at http://www.renegadetech.com. (I recently
moved from the Chicago area and haven't changed the site yet to include
San Antonio.)
I am also a freelance deejay specializing in continuous mixing of
club-style dance music, having been raised in New York City. Since
getting saved, I've been searching for and picking up choice Christian
dance and Gospel house music. I'm also starting to produce my own
remixes since there aren't all that many around.
Finally, I am looking for an electrician to give me an estimate on
adding a 240V outlet in my garage for an electric car I'm getting which
should be arriving in two weeks!!

What part of the Chicagoland area are you from? We moved here last summer from Aurora, Illinois. Good luck with the work and I think your idea is a good one. We have also started a business of our own and would like the opportunity to spread the word to other BRCC members. When we are in need of any services we could first search here to see if anyone is in the business we are in need of. Thanks for the suggestion.

Hey! I moved here a couple of years ago to join the staff here as a pastor. Though I grew up in S.A., I lived from 1990-2004 in New Lenox, southwest suburbs (toward Joliet). It would be nice to get to know you.

I'm from West Chicago, so I know Aurora (and have heard of New Lenox
via Shine.fm, the progressive Christian station out of Burbonnais.)

That would be great! We usually attend the Sunday 10am service and you can find us at the very top row. We sit in the 2 seats that are all by themselves. LOL My husband is most comfortable there.

I have been wanting a professional site myself.. I have my own mary kay business and I am a massage therapist. On top of that, I always want to know what other Christian businesses I can support when i am in need of services.

Excellant idea. We should support one another in all areas including businesses. I too have a service where I advocate for parents of special needs children. Don't really need the advertisement so much to inform parents that such service exist and that they have rights in education. Have a great day.
