Hi! I have been going to BRCC for a little over a year and absolutely love it however, I can't seem to get connected or make friends. I tried the 30+ singles group but it wasn't a good fit. I am 30 and single - never married, no kids. Any singles out there? I am hoping to meet people with similar interests. I enjoy hiking, cycling, mountain biking, movies, shopping, music, volleyball, football, reading...the list goes on.

Hi!!
The really groovy thing about this church is there are many ways to get connected; obviously the small group thing wasn't a fit, but another thing you may try is serving in a ministry here that suits what God has called you to do.....there are many volunteer opportunities out there such as student minsitries ( Fuel), kidstuf, etc. This is by far not the only option to get plugged in, but is one of them. Feel free to email me at brian.welch@allstate.com if you want some more help!!
In Christ,
Brian Welch

Hello Adrie and Many Blessings to you...
As a late 30's single person myself, I have to agree with you that it is rather hard to meet people in our status at such a huge church. However, God has plans for our singleness and if we only take the time to pray and ask for his guidance he will point us in the direction he would like us to go.
I have been attending BRCC for over 2 years now and I feel I have truly found my place there in God's hands. Starting on 9/11, I and several others will be joining Mac Turner, Russell and Corey to provide enlightment, an encouraging word and a great deal of love to the middle school and high school students through FUEL. If you find this to be a calling for you as well please do not hesitate to contact any of the Fuel Directors.
Our singleness is a gift and should be cherished and filled with great joy at all times.
Your sister in Christ...
Kristin

Adrie -
I mistakenly forgot to mention one director's name for Fuel. God has blessed the children with Andre Jennings who has a heart that surpasses most.
Hope this helps.
