I am so encouraged by the warm replies I have seen when people are in need!  Can I make a big "ask"?  With nearly 3000 people calling BRCC their home, we are working hard to make sure people are cared for regularly, but need a lot of help.  We are going to have a Counselor Training course for people who are serious about being able to help people in deep emotional and spiritual pain.  But we immediately need cheerful people who are willing to make a call on someone in the hospital or confined to home because of injury or illness.  I especially could use someone to come alongside me and help with the organizational end of our "SonShine" ministry.  If you have a heart for helping people by visiting, calling, or writing cards, please email me at gfike@brcc.net.  And a great big "THANK YOU" in advance!

The "organizing" side is more my calling.  I would be happy to help with that.  Email me an idea of how I may be able to help.  smorgan7204@sbcglobal.net.

God bless,

Thanks, Shawn & Diane.

I've heard from someone outside the message board as well.  My goal is to have a team in place by the end of September, so I can use everyone's help in building a team.

Pastor Fike,
I was just wondering if you were still interested in organizing this group?  I'm still looking forward to being a part of it if you are.

Pastor George

I was just reading your post about a counselor training program. I am very interested in this. Do you still need folks? I was a deacon in our former church. It's a caregiving ministry. I served for 3 years. I did a few hospital visits, visited folks with new babies, etc; mostly spent time looking after the church members in my zone.

My husband Tal and I attended your neighborhood party a few weeks ago so you may recognize the name.

My email is ttraider88@satx.rr.com and home phone is 745-2419.

Thanks
