BLOOD BOUGHT-  A SACRIFICE GIVEN


I hear in your WORD, your SON you did send.
In whose death our sins were washed.
Across his back, laid bare with blood.
So many lashes,  each a sin covered.
His only seeking, our relationship
with THE MOST HIGH to mend.

Blood Bought.
A SACRIFICE given.
Fulfilling payment for all transgressions.
A love neverending. A crimson red binding.
Forever returning us to our Father's Favor.
Who Am I, for whom this SACRIFICE you give?

Who Am I that your Blood covers?
My sins, they are so many.
Anger, lust, strife, gluttony,
and yes at times, hatred.
Why did YOU take the CROSS?
Why did YOU lay down your life?
To bind me to the FATHER and grant
me EVERLASTING LIFE?

A SACRIFICE, that I can never repay.
Even with my life for yours.
There must be more tasks then to just ask.
For forgiveness and a belief voiced.
That CHRIST is the living BLOOD SACRIFICE.
Why is that you will send my sins far away as
the EAST is from the WEST?

I thank you for your strength.
When I have none.
I thank you for your forgiveness.
When I have done wrong.

Give me a desire and strength.
To give others compassion and be slow to anger.
To be in remembrance of being BLOOD BOUGHT.
And the SACRIFICE GIVEN.
