Some of you may know about this, but for those who don't there's a great site called Freecycle.

What this site is is a place where you may offer items you no longer need/want or attempt to pick up items that you may want/need. You may also post wanted ads for item. The cost is free to join, and the items must be free as well. This is a great way to get the rest of the garage sale items gone! Now, I did say attempt because several people will respond to a given "offer" and its up to the person offering to choose who gets it. You don't necessarily have to be/choose the first responder.

The way that I joined was by getting onto the Yahoo groups page and searching for Freecycle San Antonio. You can check the groups page or have the information sent to your personal email. You will have to join Yahoo (user name and password) but that's free also, and you can use the Yahoo email to keep your's from getting more cluttered than it likely is already.

I've had good fortune in getting things no longer needed/wanted gone, and have picked up some great things when asking the freecycle members! This is a great way to save money!
