I RECENTLY MOVED HERE FROM DALLAS. I HAVE STARTED GOING TO BRCC A FEW WEEKS AGO AND HAVE REAFFIRMED MY FAITH IN GOD DUE TO SOME LIFE ALTERING ISSUES. I HAVE DECIDED TO LEAVE EVERYTHING IN GOD'S HANDS. SO, HOW DO I KNOW WHAT I'M SUPPOSE TO DO AND HOW DO I KNOW WHEN TO DO IT? I TURNED MY BACK ON GOD THREE YEARS AGO BECAUSE OF SIMILIAR SITUATIONS AND I DON'T WANT TO ALLOW THE RECENT EVENTS , HOWEVER CRITICAL, TO CAUSE ME TO FLEE AGAIN. THANKS!

When I read your concerns, it hit so close to home because I fell from grace the same way you have. I was a Christian years ago and all was going well, then came the sneaky enemy bringing to surface painful and bitter memories of abuse I had suffered as a child that I never forgave or completely healed from. I became depressed, hateful, bitter and violent. I thought I had forgiven my abuser but I truly had not, so I went spiraling out of control. By God's grace and love for this broken child, he brought me back and I am going through the Discover Recovery course at BRCC and reading The Bondage Breaker where I have learned SO much on how to forgive, give control to God, renew my mind and spirit and most importantly to discover the authority Christ has given me over the sepents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy so nothing may injure me! Luke 10. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against rulers, authorities, and powers of this dark world and spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Eph. 6:12. THANK YOU JESUS!!! You need to humble yourself before HIM and rebuke what is hindering your relationship and deal with it head on so that it won't take away from HIM again as it has before. I will pray for you brother, trust in the Lord with all your heart and he shall guide your path. Amen.

You are definitely not alone in experiencing the things you described. Please know from someone that is walking this road that our Lord provides us with hope and salvation. Please take advantage of the celebrate recovery opportunities that are offered on Wednesday evenings to join and fellowship with individuals that are going through the same challenges. I have been part of this group and thank God that this blessing is providing me and my family.

That's awesome and amazing, you have found your way back!! God is so loving and forgiving, though we may not deserve it, he always takes us back. Who else can love like that? I've found myself in similar situation, saved when I was 13 and fell from my walk with God for many a year. I have recommited my life to him and I feel renewed with a new energy for God, life, family and friends. Awesome for you Michael, I am so happy for you!! Welcome to BRCC, it is truely a special place and the Lord is working hard in this church!
