Hi all, this is a general question for anyone who might be able to give me insight. I dream every single night, some good, most horrible.  They scare me. Last night I dreamt someone was trying to kill me and everywhere in the dream the same feeling of fear.  Others were trying to hide me and help me.  It has me real concerned. I've prayed for relief or for God to reaveal what is causing them. I've tried changing pillows and I don't eat late.  I have such intense dreams which seem so real.  I am a Christian and love the Lord with all my heart.  He is working wonders in my life right now and every day feel a little closer to Him.  I also went through severe physical abuse as a child and suffer from PTS (post-traumatic stress syndrome). I don't know if that has anything to do with it but it's beginning to hinder my life, these dreams. Please help a sister in Christ, thank you.

Dear Dreams,
Are you going to a Christain Counselor? I will lift you up in prayer.... I pray in Jesus' name that when you are dreaming and you are afraid, that you call upon Jesus- He will help you. Please meditate on this scripture: I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. And yes, I beleive these dreams are directly related to your childhood. Book I recommend: The Wounded Heart  God Speed to you beloved...

I hope my experience can be of some help to you.
I had horrible nightmares when I was younger and what got rid of them for me was prayer.  Every night I spent a little time in prayer as I was in bed.  Sometimes I would fall asleep praying.  I would pray specifilly for Him to take away the dreams and I would pray about everything else too.  I didn't just ask for things but I'd thank Him for different things in my life, ponder things, and just have a conversation =)  It really relaxed me , took away my nightmares, and it was a time that I started to feel close to Him because I felt like I was really talking to him.
