I attended service this morning, and I must say it was great. My family has been coming on and off now for a couple of months and I love it!! I just wanted to drop a few lines about Elliot’s video which I've already seen...but boy isn't it touching. Another thing that is touching is a non-profit organization I volunteer for is Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep. We offer families who have suffered the loss of a child/infant a photography session at no cost. Most sessions are done in NICU, PICU or can be done at home if sent home to pass there. San Antonio is slow to getting the word spread, but we are working on it passionately! I wanted to share this with you guys in the event you are given the phone call that a mom has had a born still baby, whose child is laying in PICU not responding, to a baby born at 28 weeks and can't survive, to a family taking their child home to pass there. We want to give every mom the opportunity to hear about this organization...these pictures are the last thing they will remember of their child. We give the parents a cd of images and a DVD set to music...absolutely no charge to the family.
I encourage you to take a look at the NILMDTS org at www.nowilaymedowntosleep.org You can visit a couple of slideshows I've done that are on my website as well. The music is not the same as what they receive on DVD... simply go to www.loritolephotography.com click on ‘Slideshow’ and you'll see Session and Session 2...type in ‘NILMDTS’ all caps. You'll be touched. If you guys would like more information I would love to talk more about it. Also, if a mom comes to you and says I was just diagnosed today and my child will be born with Trisomy...she knows her child will not have long to live after birth...we will also give mom the opportunity to have maternity pictures done at no cost. Her images will be a part of the DVD, the day of delivery can be apart and also if like Eliot and survives 99 days, we can take frequent visits to moms and dads for new photos. What a gift! So please, don't hesitate to help us get the word out and share with families that are losing a child, lost a child or know it won't be long. Thanks for your time.
