Hi, we're new to the forum but long-time BRCC members.
My wife injured a disk in her lower back due a fall several months ago. She was out of work and using the short term disability and
then got well enough to return to work in June '07.
Well, low and behold- she injured her back again in November '07, this time injuring a different disk in her lower back.
Her job is giving her a hard time with the short-term/long-term disability stuff.
We're looking for a "faith-based" attorney to consult with/advise
us on our rights/remedies to what I think will turn into something
ugly with her employer/worker's comp. department.

Contact us at: 210-248-7678
Any help/advice is greatly appreciated.
Thanks and have a Blessed Day.

You post doesn't indicate if either fall occurred at work. If so, did she report it to anyone? Are they paying her for the injury now?
Employer's in Texas are not legally bound to carry W/C. If they do not, they are either "bare" or can have their own plans that cover employee's for injuries.... commonly called non-subscriber plans. Most of the non-subscriber plans have very strict reporting requirements.
Also, if your Employer does carry W/C Insurance, you can't sue them and prevail unless they are guilty of gross negligence....I don't mean to ramble but it is important to know what kind of coverage the Employer has because many w/c attorney's don't want to deal with non-subscriber injuries.

Sorry, both falls happened away from work. She was receiving 100% of her pay for about a few weeks for the injury, then down to 60%.
Her employer does have worker's comp.
