HELLO EVERYBODY....
I JUST WANTED TO SAY HOW NICE IT WAS TO ATTEND THIS PAST SUNDAY AT THE 1 O'CLOCK SERVICE. I HAD BEEN TO BRCC BUT HAD NOT BEEN BACK IN A LONG TIME AND IT WAS GOOD TO BE BACK. I DID NOTICE SOMETHING THOUGH, THAT I HAD TO BRING TO EVERYONE'S ATTENTION.
I REALLY ENJOYED BEING GREETED AT THE DOOR BY A YOUNG LADY VOLUNTEERING WITH HER CHILDREN AT THE FRONT DOORS. FIRST OF ALL, THAT IN ITSELF IS AWESOME. IT IS RARE TO SEE A FAMILY VOLUNTEERING TOGETHER ANYMORE AND EVEN MORE RARE TO SEE 2 YOUNG BOYS VOLUNTEERING AT THEIR CHURCH. AS I SAID, THAT IN ITSELF, WAS NICE ENOUGH BUT THE BEST PART WAS HOW THEY OPENED THE DOOR FOR US, OPENING THE DOOR FOR SOMEONE IS NORMALLY A SIMPLE GESTURE BUT THEY TRULY TAUGHT US THIS WEEKEND HOW YOU CAN MAKE SOMEONE'S DAY JUST BY SMILING, GREETING AND OPENING THE DOOR FOR SOMEONE, THAT IS THE TRUE LOVE OF CHRIST SHINING THROUGH THEIR WONDERFUL FACES. THEY JUST SMILED AND SAID HI LIKE THEY WERE TRULY GLAD THAT YOU MADE IT OUT TO CHURCH TODAY. THAT IS NOT TO SAY THAT WE DO NOT THANK EVERYONE THAT WAS OUT THERE THIS WEEKEND BUT THIS WAS AN EXCEPTIONAL SITE. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR GOING THE EXTRA MILE TO MAKE SURE WE COME IN TO A GREAT CHURCH THE MINUTE "THE DOOR IS OPENED FOR US".

I totally agree. I kept my eyes peeled for them this weekend and there they were. You are right,it is an awesome sight. Their love shines through their smiles. Pastor Dave said once that too many parents don't bring their children to church because they don't want to push it on them, they want to wait for them to grow up and make their own decision and he asked us parents not to do that. Looks like some of us are really listening. Not only are the children there, they are doing the works of God. That is something they will take with them forever. Thank you, BRCC, we are truly the best church out there. We ARE the church.

It is so nice to see people appreciate what we do every weekend. We volunteer weekly to share the love of God with every person that walks into BRCC. We try to make them feel welcome through Positively Outrageous Service and it is nice to see someone being commended for it.
Now may I ask something of you? I would like to ask every person that walks into BRCC to be willing to volunteer at least once a month at a service of their choice. 1 hour a weekend a month is not too much to ask but when it is the same people serving every weekend, every service, for the entire month, people get burnt out and IF it starts to show we have people walking into BRCC and not feeling welcome. We as volunteers have to be the good example at all times and if we are too tired, too grouchy, too irritable, or just don't don't feel like being there that weekend, we are not setting an example, newcomers are not going to want what BRCC has to offer---just from that first sight of the volunteer. So I ask each or you to consider and pray about serving our church as well. Remember it is not about us, it is about serving God in our church.
