Hello. I have not yet attended BRCC yet howeverI am looking foward. I am going through a divorce and I did see the support group. I just moved into the area and MISS attending church and being surrounded by faithful Chritians. I kinda went off the path and now need prayer to help me regain my passion. Ii look foward to meeting some of you at Wed. service and possibly @ Tues. support group for ones going through divorce. Thanks and God Bless!

hi my name is russ, i have been going to brcc for almost a year and a half. i am 30years old and was raised in a mormon household.i am really not sure what to say here but lets see.. i was married last feb to the greatest woman i'v ever met, we have had a very rocky relationship.we dated for 5 years before we took the next step to marrage. we have a 2 year old baby boy who is my joy and heart beat. well..we have now been seperated for the last 3 months trying to find our spark again, and waiting for me to realize the greatest thing i'v ever had and felt is slipping away because of my own choices divorce seems to be getting closer but at the same time it seams we are understanding each other more. the best part of this story is we are now only seeing each other every sunday at brcc. so for the greatest day of the week i get to feel like a happy family at brcc. i have put her through so much but she still gives me hope in "us" and brcc. last week i was one of the few who stood up to recieve blessings during the end of the service. as i stood there next to my wife praying pastor doug had asked for the people around those standing to just place a hand on there(my) shoulder. what an amazing experionce,as alone as i feel in this world i had 4 christian strangers put there hands on my shoulders and give me blessings. man did i cry like a baby. and just to make my feelings stronger and more intence my wife stood up half way through and gave me the warmest hug i'v ever felt. and there we were praying holding each other, feeling the love and compasion of our church and eachother. my wife recently signed a appartment lease for a year on the very oppisite side of town to be closer to her mother. i would love to talk to someone who has or is going through similar. or can someone tell me what seminars i can go to on wednesdays. so my prayers are that my wife can and may find comfort still at brcc sitting next to her husband. god bless. russ

I there!! I am in the same place you are right now. I moved to SA from NH and have not met many people. I have been missing services as well and need to connect again since it made me feel to good to be with people instead of feeling so alone. I am single and had to leave my daughter back North to take a new job. I am interested in meeting new friends, and am also planning on attending Wed. Maybe we'll meet up. Feel free to email me anytime at all.

Hey Russell, I don't know if you remember me, but I am a friend of the family (Jessica - I dated Danny). Anyway, I heard about your delimma and I remember seeing you on a Wed. with Valerie. I know that this time is tough and yet you have been immensly blessed by receiving a second chance. You guys are always in my prayers. Just a word of encouragement....don't worry about the awkwardness with the family (especially you-know-who!!!). If you stay true and keep GOD in the center of your marraige, life, and family, HE will take care of the rest. Right now they are just being protective, as I am sure you can understand. If you haven't had the opportunity, I reccommend that you visit one of the Celebrate Recovery Groups - either alone or with Valerie. It's definitely a whole lot more than just grief, substance abuse, etc. I hope to see you guys again very soon. I haven't seen Jaden since he was a baby, but I've been told he's absolutely precious.
