Friday night brought some intense storms to the Northwest Metropolis of Helotes, known for it's country atmosphere and enormous "Burn Piles". This the starting point of a really great ride that took us through 4 counties. Wimberley Tx. was our goal, to make it there and meet up with members of the Southern Cruisers Motor Cycle club, by 12:00 noon.
At 9:00am we met at the Tiger Mart at 1604 & Bandera Rd. 9:15 am, it was kick stands up. Scenic Loop Rd. started the first leg of the morning, from that point on most of were lost. However, at point, was non-other than Katie & Mike Boggs. They led us into Boerne, then Hwy 46 to parts of Texas that I didn't know existed. We made Wimberley as planned, had lunch with the Motor Cycle club and were able to stretch our legs for a while and "Hob Nob" with some of the local Natives. We also met Rick and Heidi Sandoval in Wimberley, they missed the first part of the ride.(come to think of it, they missed the second part also)
Our trip home took us through some back roads in the Canyon Lake area, that were really 'Neet' back roads. About 3:30pm we split up and went our own way home. I, myself, walked in the door at 4:30pm. Safe and Sound!
Thank you Katie for setting up the Ride, thank you to the others for the comradery, it was great fun and good fellowship. I hope each of you made it home safely and with out incident on the road.
Before I close, I forgot to mention the Weather! It was just as you would expect after a night of heavy rain and a front blowing through. The streets were wet and the sky was overcast and of course, it was chilly! But!!!!!, it was NOT RAINING. As the day progressed, the roads dried up and we never encountered rain on the ride. However it was still Chilly. That did not stop Katie, Mike, Jack, Harry, Lee, Tony, Bill and Jo Ann and Scott. Also Honorable mention goes to Rick and his wife Heidi, from braving the elements for the sake of Motorcycling!!

Till Next Time, Be Safe Out There!

I missed this ride, are there any more planned? I've got a lot of years riding but they are mostly on my own.
