Hey everyone,

I've been considering starting a league for some time.  I'm actually looking at starting a church team in March 07 through the SA Parks and Rec. dept.  With almost 3000 church attenders at BRCC, we should have at least 13-15 people to start a team here.  I'm thinking of starting a guy's team and seeing how much interest we have.  After that, we can maybe add additional teams, i.e. co-ed. etc.  Let's wait until after the New Year and then we can start talking more seriously.  I'll post more then and hopefully BRCC will mention it in their bulletin.

Take care everyone and God Bless.

Has anyone looked into Ancira Sports Park? I used to head up a sports ministry at my old church in Illinois. Softball (and sports in general) is a great ministry tool. I am not a big fan of the church ONLY league. It seems like you would be loosing out on a great opportunity to show nonbeliver friends that christian's have fun to.

Our small group would like to join a softball league. We have about 15 to 20 people in our group and are all interested in being a team in a league. Let us know how we can get our team in your leagues.

The Recreation Committee (the same folks who put together the Super Sunday Flag football game) is currently researching several options concerning BRCC softball. If you would like to be included in the planning stages, please send me an email. This is the number one thing on our priority list, though we are looking in how to make other sports a possibility as well. When we have a solid plan, we will be announcing it in the bulletin as well as having sign-ups in the pavilions outside of the auditorium.

Also, because the flag football game was such a huge success (75 people) we are playing again this Sunday (2:30 18 Feb at O.P. Schnabel.)
