Are you interested in reaching out to orphans and orphanages in desparate need of volunteers and support in caring for the hundreds and thousands of childrens orphaned every year in South African countries ?

Please consider joining me and my husband on a life changing trip.     I have volunteered with the Heart For Africa organization for the past 3 years and have had the fortune of being able to go to Botswana, Durban (South Africa) and Swaziland to help in a way that I never thought possible.

This past year, we went to a childrens orphanage in Swaziland where we helped build a girls dormitory, extend their school and church buildings and participate in the sponsorship of a wonderful couple and their "family" of orphans.

My new phase of being involved is that I have volunteered to be a recruiter/coordinator for a trip next year and thought the first place I would start is here with my home church of BRCC. 

If you are interested, please contact me and I can give you more information.   I'm hoping to get a group of 10-20 people to go next year and am looking for people of all ages and with all kinds of skills and backgrounds.

ALSO - please feel free to look at the Heart For Africa website -- www.heartforafrica.org   You can see pictures, read testimonials, and review the FAQs which will give you more info on their programs.  As you will see, it mostly has information on their "Garden" projects, but what I volunteer to work on is their "orphanage" projects.   (I do not work for their organization, I'm just an active volunteer who wants to help :-)

Hi Again.

I just wanted to let you know that I've talked to Pastor Dave about this trip and he is pleased to see people reaching out this way.    I will be sending Eva Marquez (in the church office) some information on this project in the near future.

A little more info about our trip next year......    The trip is 10 days and will be next July (July 18 - July 29).  There is a cost to participate but it includes ALL expenses (airfare, meals, hotel, etc.)    As a group, we will be doing fund raising activities and looking for other ways to help raise fund.
