Significant verse: 28:8-9
What does the verse say? Shipwrecked on the isle of Malta, Paul stayed with the island's chief official, Publius. Publius' father was ill with fever and dysentery. So Paul went in and prayed for him, laying his hands on him. The sick father was healed. Then all the other sick people on the island came and were healed.
What is God saying to me? Lord, by nature you are a Healer. Your followers continued your healing ministry and brought glory to your name. Lord, would you do it again? Will you heal the sick among us? In your compassion and power, will you stretch out your hand to heal? If you desire, use me as a vessel to bring healing. Use our church as a place of healing and our people as instruments of healing. Lord, stretch out your hand. Stretch out your hand.
