What does the verse say?
Seven Jewish priests were trying to cast out evil spirits by using
Jesus' name. When a demonized man replied, "I know Jesus and I
know Paul, but who are you?", he attacked the seven men and beat them
badly. The news of this event spread through Ephesus, to Jews and
Greeks. A solemn fear descended on the city and the name of the
Lord Jesus was greatly honored.
What is God saying to me?
Lord, I pray that as we confront the darkness in our world that
torments people, you would give us favor. May demons know me and
know the people of BRCC because we know you. May the fear of the
Lord come over our church and our community and even our city.
May the name of Jesus be highly honored among believers and the
lost. Make me an instrument to set people free and to cause the
name of Jesus to be greatly honored. Blessed be the name of the
Lord Jesus.
