Significant verse: 13:38-39
What does the verse say? Paul taught in the synagogue about Jesus' life, death, and resurrection. Then he told the people that there is forgiveness of sins through Jesus and that everyone who believes in him is declared right with God.
What is God saying to me? Life, death, resurrection, believe. Everything I have staked my life and faith on depends upon the resurrection. Resurrection assumes death. Lord, I'd rather have eternal life without death. But I accept that this body must die first so I can receive a new, eternal, resurrected body. Lord, I believe. Help me share this good news with others in a compelling and powerful way like Saul did. And thank you for the one who believed in you yesterday. Bless this one with your Spirit and bring healing to the soul.
