Significant verse: 11:21
What does the verse say? The believers who scattered due to persecution, continued to speak about Jesus Christ to Jews first, and then to Gentiles. And the power of the Lord was with them and a large number of the Gentiles believed and turned to the Lord.
What is God saying to me? Persecution did not keep the believers from speaking about Christ to the hungry. And the power of the Lord was with them, as opposed to not being with them or even being against them. Lord, I ask that your power would be with me. I ask that your power would be with our church as we seek to reach the hungry. Lord, whatever might keep your power from being with us--expose it and help us to remove it: unbelief, little faith, distracting priorities, cares of this life, fear. Lord search my heart and prepare me to be a vessel of power. Let your power be with us.
