Significant verse:

  2:40, 47

What does the verse say?
Peter urged his listeners, "Save yourselves from this crooked
generation."  Yet the outcome of salvation and the Holy Spirit
coming led to the believers praising God, enjoying the goodwill of all
people, and each day seeing the Lord add to their fellowship those
being saved.

What is God saying to me?
A part of Christ's call is to come out and be saved from a crooked,
sinful generation.  But he doesn't want me to become separated or
isolated from the lost.  These first believers enjoyed the
goodwill of all people.   Unbelievers liked them.  Lord,
help me discern where I need to come out and be saved from and
separated from this crooked generation.  And help me discern where
I need to be salt and light to this generation.  Lord, make me the
kind of person who is distinct from this generation, but who still
finds favor with them.
