What does the verse say?
Jesus predicted what kind of death Peter would experience to glorify
God and then told Peter, "Follow me". When Peter asked about
John's destiny, Jesus replied if He wanted John to remain until He
returns, that's up to Him. Then Jesus repeated to Peter, "Follow
me".
What is God saying to me?
I want to know your will and follow you when it means seeing changed
lives and new believers and powerful miracles. But a part of
following you means obeying your will for my life even if it is
unpleasant or difficult or painful. Following you means absolute
surrender to your will, no matter what. Lord, I want to follow
you in all things. Show me where I have not surrendered to your
will. Give me strength as I seek to follow you.
