Significant Verse: 15:9-11
What does the verse say? Jesus urged believers to "remain" in his love. When we obey Christ we remain in his love just as he obeyed his Father and remained in his Father's love. Jesus taught us this crucial spiritual truth so we could be filled with joy. In fact Jesus promised our joy would overflow.
What is God saying to me? Joy so full it overflows. Remain in me, like a branch to a vine. Stay connected. Suck life out of the branch. Christ's commands provide nourishment and the pathway to experiencing the Father's full love and that's where we get full joy. Lord, your commands provide the way to full love and full joy. Lord, I choose to remain in you and to draw my life from you by obeying your commands. Let me feel your full love. Let my heart overflow with joy. Thank you Lord for showing the way to full love and joy.
