Significant Verse:  12:3

What does the verse say?  Lazarus' sister Mary took a 12 ounce jar of expensive perfume made from nard and anointed Jesus' feet, wiping his feet with her hair, and the fragrance filled the house.

What is God saying to me?  It appears Mary did not understand the significance of her act.  It was simply an expression of extravagent praise to the one who raised her brother back to life.  But Jesus knew he had been anointed for his burial which would occur within hours.  Mary followed a Spirit-prompting without knowing why.  She just did it.  And look at the significance of her act, not to mention the sacrifice.  Am I willing to follow Spirit-promptings without knowing why?  Would I make such an expensive sacrifice to honor Christ just because?  Lord, you are worthy of my worship and sacrifice.  I will listen to your Spirit today.  Let everything I do and say bring you praise.
