Significant Verse: 11:21-22
What does the verse say? Lazarus had been dead for 4 days. When Jesus arrived at his home, his sister Martha said: "Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died. But even now I know that God will give you whatever you ask."
What is God saying to me? Faith. Martha not only believed Jesus could have prevented Lazarus' death, but she also believed Jesus could raise him back to life. Here faith didn't limit the size of her subtle ask. Neither did anger or resentment or bitterness due to the fact that Jesus took so much time coming to their home, Lazarus died. Lord, increase my faith. You stirred faith in Martha and Mary through this trial. Lord, I consider trials joy knowing that the testing of my faith produces maturity. Lord, I accept whatever trials come my way. Lord, I also know that the Father will give you whatever you ask. So hear my prayers . . .
