Significant Verse:  10:9-10

What does the verse say?  Jesus pictured himself as a gate to the pen containing his sheep and as a good shepherd to those sheep.  Jesus promised that those who entered through him would find green pastures.  The thief's purpose is to kill, steal, and destroy.  But Jesus' purpose as a Good Shepherd is to give life in all its fullness.

What is God saying to me?  Safety.  Green pastures.  Food.  Water.  Life.  Full life.  Lord, thank you for laying down your life so I could enter God's kingdom through you.  Thank you for being a Good Shepherd to me.  Lord, protect me from evil and harm and fear.  I trust you for green pastures.  I trust you for life in all its fullness.  (I prayed for specific areas in my life where I wanted green pastures and full life.)
